Kareena - Hrithik to be paired after a 9 years gap?

Yes! You heard it right! Buzz is that the K3G couple is going to be seen with each other after almost a span of 9 years in Karan Johar’s next.

According to the reports, filmmaker Karan Johar is planning to rope in the famous Jodi for his next big project which will be directed by Karan Malhotra.

Both the actors were last seen in movies Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002) and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003).

Bebo was the original choice to play Duggu’s heroine in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000), a film allegedly refused by her mom Babita since Hrithik was a new comer back then.

She preferred her daughter’s debut opposite AB’s baby Abhishek Bachchan in Refugee which was also released in the same year.

Soon Kareena was paired opposite Hrithik Roshan in Subhash Ghai’s Yaadein. The film was a dud at the box office but Duggu-Bebo’s Jodi was loved by all.

Their closeness became the talk of the town when they were paired opposite each other as ‘Poo’ and Rohan Raichand in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). Their sparkling chemistry led to rumours about their torrid affair, even though Hrithik was dating Suzane at the time. It is said that due to this the relationship between the two actors was affected adversely. Hrithik then decided to keep himself away from such controversies and avoided projects with Kareena.

Although the real reason of their cold war is still not known it was evident that the two actors weren’t comfortable working with each other anymore. So much so that Kareena even refused to do an item number for Hrithik’s Agneepath remake, although it was a Karan Johar film who is said to be Kareena’s close friend.

 Zoya Akhtar almost landed a casting coup when Hrithik and Kareena were supposed to act in her film, Kismet Talkies. The film, however, never took off.

When asked Hrithik about the supposedly cold war between the two he said, "There was nothing like that between us and I have no problem working with Kareena. I am a professional actor; I have no qualms about acting with anyone provided I am convinced about my role in a film.”

Will we see the hit Jodi once again on the silver screen? According to the sources Kareena has agreed to work in the project but Karan has yet to finalise the male lead and is in talks with Hrithik.
