Spending a lot on cosmetics ? When you could get the same effect in your daily diet. That is the beauty of including fruits in your diet. Here is our set of solutions for your healthy skin and hair, and for this you won't need to climb up the Himalayas or swim across Nile, these are the fruits that you will find in your bazaar.
Most of the cosmetic brands use the technique which is quite common and that is the tagline of fruit extracts, why would you need the fruit extracts when you can have the fruit as a whole and get more enzymes in than the processed form!
So our list starts out:
1. Bananas:
Yes, its our very own banana, that tops the list, have it in your diet and you will see the difference.
Rich in potassium and vitamins A, C and E, bananas are ideal for skin and hair (they help restore dull and damaged hair). While vitamin A restores natural oils of the skin, vitamin E repairs damaged skin and lightens age spots. Vitamin C, on the other hand, prevents cell oxidation and wrinkles. It also tightens and tones the skin. Bananas can be made into a pulp and applied on the skin, or added to face packs.

2. Apples:
They have been used as a beauty aid for decades. A cup of apple juice added to your bath will cleanse and smoothen your skin. Apple juice applied to your scalp helps prevent dandruff. A final rinse of your hair with apple juice after shampooing brings about an added shine. Apples are also a good conditioner and toner, and help fight acne.
Not just that, Apples also have anti-oxidant properties. Raw apple pulp or apple juice can be applied on the skin daily. Apple cider vinegar has great benefits for the hair, helping to restore the normal balance of the scalp and preventing scalp problems, including dandruff.
3. Papaya:
Rich in vitamin A and enzymes, papayas act as a great exfoliator. Mashed papaya, when applied to the face, helps get rid of dead skin and gives your face that glow.
Papaya is useful for removing dead skin cells and may be applied on the face and body. It also helps to lighten skin colour if used regularly over a period of time. Ripe papaya pulp can be applied on the face, or can be mixed with other
ingredients like oatmeal, curd and honey to make face masks. Papaya pulp mixed with curd can be applied on the body.

4. Lemons:
Lemons are known for their 'skin and hair' cleansing properties. Dandruff can be prevented by rubbing lemon on the scalp. Adding two teaspoons of lemon juice in your bath not only deodourises the body but also keeps it fresh. Lemon rinds, when rubbed on scars, acne or dark spots, helps heal them. Rub lemon slices on rough areas of heels and elbows to soften them.
If you rub lemon juice on the area with your blackheads, it should make them disappear. Do this every night and rinse with cool water in the morning until blackheads are gone. You can get rid of wrinkles if you mix a teaspoon of honey, a few drops of lemon juice and a drop of sweet almond oil; apply it for 20 mins and wash it off.
5. Oranges:
Like lemons, the orange is also rich in Vitamin C. The fruit pulp can be included in fruit masks. Orange peels can also be collected and dried in the sun, then ground into a powder and added to face masks. It has a cleansing and gradual skin lightening effect. Orange juice can also be added to masks for the face and hands. In fact, raw orange and lemon peels can be rubbed on the nails to remove discolouration. Orange peels rubbed regularly on the hands can help to lighten skin colour and also tighten the skin.
