After the much celebrated gay season, it seems to be going back to yesteryear too, as the veteran actor and yesteryear hero Rishi Kapoor is all set to play gay in the upcoming flick by Karan Johar, the Student of the Year.
The sources mention that "Student of the year is the name of the movie and it will have Rishi ji, doing the role of a homosexual teacher who is soft to the character played by Ronit Roy, they share a special relationship in the movie".
The role is said to have offered to Shahrukh Khan at first but was moved on to Rishi Kapoor as the choice by the director, Karan Johar, when contacted by sources, Rishi Kapoor mentioned "Yes, my character is soft on Ronit in Student Of The Year. Why not? I play the dean of the college. And yes, my character is gay. It's one of the most important roles of my career at the moment.
This is the time of my career when I get to experiment. I don't want to play the conventional father. Besides, I can't say no to Karan."
