Madhuri Dixit wants Rs. 5 crore for a film

In : |

It is said that Madhuri Dixit is demanding a fee of a whopping 5 crore for her next film.

Madhuri Dixit is reportedly signed for Vishal Bhradwaj’s film Dedh Ishqiya, but an official confirmation is yet to come. But besides that Madhuri Dixit still hasn’t signed a single film. And its said that she is demanding a whopping sum of Rs 5 crore, for a film.

Isn't the fee too high ??

A leading producer said, "For Madhuri, even if the budget for my film hits the roof, it's a chance I would take. But yes, you need to be practical too."

A source said, “She has been the most successful actress of her generation and clearly she brings in a brand value no one else does. So clearly that will reflect on the kind of money she charges…” and even said that Madhuri apparently wants Rs 4-5 crore and it’s said that this is the kind of money leading ladies like Kareena Kapoor , Katrina Kaif and even Vidya Balan are charging nowadays. The sources say, it’s clear that the Mrs. Nene wants to let people know that she is no less than any of the top actress, and signing her on will be “expensive”.

Madhuri also wants to play a protagonist in films. She is not looking for maa, bhabhi or behen kinda roles. May be this could be the reason why she has refused films like Anil Kapoor’s remake of Freaky Friday, in which he wanted Madhuri to play the role of Sonam Kapoor’s mom, and the remake of Satte Pe Satta that ultimately went to Karisma Kapoor. Mrs. Nene even turned down a Hollywood movie offer in which she had to play herself in a dream sequence.

Madhuri Dixit is looking for women-oriented roles. May be she is still waiting for a right script to come her way or should we say the right amount......
