Aamir's show puts a toll of 6.25 cr. on Star!

Aamir Khan is due to make the grand debut on to the small screens by next month, but it seems that the promos itself has been going grand. The channel is said to have spent close to 6.5 crore worth of airtime just to air the promos which were around 30-35 secs in duration. The latest math was done by an insider at the channel calculating the ad revenue that was compromised on the promos. 

"The channel, on which his show Satyamev Jayate will be aired, had apparently blocked all the 2,000 slots for the broadcaster's promos in 27 hours -- totally valued at Rs 6.25 crore. " says the insider. The event was a one-day special but it did cross the marks which was set by any other celebrity hosted show on the channel. 

Also there was a great amount of secrecy as it is with the idea of the show 'Satyameva Jayate', the promos was shot at different times and was also grabbed from the making of the show, which made it really impossible for the production crew to know what was coming on promos. The idea is said to be from Aamir himself as he insisted on the promos to be different from what people have already seen.

"To maintain secrecy, Aamir insisted that none of the promos would be shot separately. Instead, the footage would be taken from the making of the show itself," informed the source, adding that the idea of blocking the promo slots came from the channel's end. According to our source, 2,000 promo slots from Monday to Tuesday, across all the broadcasters' channels, were booked for Aamir's show. The source said, "From these slots, if one were to translate the airtime into revenue, it's worth Rs 6.25 crore," adding that this is the highest ever for any star show.

This is when the shows for Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan had only the airtime of 2.5 crore, so this is already getting grand than any other show. The show is also said to be much of importance to the perfectionist, as he has already stopped his bollywood commitments due to this show and his upcoming movie was further delayed to his favorite month 'December' citing the reasons for shoot of this show.
