Jackie Shroff joins in for Dhoom 3

Jackie Shroff, who has been away from movies for a while is coming back to the much anticipated movie of the year, Dhoom 3. The movie which stars Aamir Khan will have an added boost to Jackie if he is playing in the villain for the movie.

"All I can say is I am doing 'Dhoom 3'. In a week's time I should know as to when I would start shooting for my role," Jackie told PTI.

"Whatever my role requires...I am preparing for that," he said without divulging any details about his character in the film.

Dhoom series which involves the high action sequences and mostly the thieves driving in superbikes has been a trend since 2004. Actors like John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan had made their roles so much embedded that the expectations for the movie is sky high. With addition of Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan as the lead role it only adds in the stakes. And it seems that the producers do not want anything short of the huge screen presence of Jackie in the movie.

"I did a film with them (Yash Raj Films) 'Aaina' long back. It is always a great pleasure to work with them. They have been making good films across all genres. I am really happy and excited to be part of this film," Jackie said.

There are rumors that Jackie plays the father to Aamir Khan in the movie. Recently, Jackie Shroff, who plays Aamir's father in the film, was spotted shooting his portions at Capitol Cinema. Mirror has learnt that Aamir will however, have no shots in the location.

In fact, the actor will start off his schedule at the Yash Raj Studios in Andheri and after five days will fly off to Chicago - a favourite destination of many Bollywood filmmakers. According to a source, majority of Aamir's scenes will be shot there.

According to a source, Aditya and Aamir both wanted to shoot the portion abroad. "They wanted to keep Aamir's look a secret. That is also a reason for them to go for a foreign location," added the source.

Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who has been in from the first series, will remain unchanged in their roles and will be playing the supercop for the movie. The film -- 'Dhoom 3', directed by Victor Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra is set to hit cinema houses in 2013.
