Jism 2 Review : A cold Response!

Jism 2 hype seems to be lived only till the first few minutes of its screenplay, the lust can't drive the movie to its end and sex alone doesn't make a movie hit! The movie Jism 2 is marked as a weaker story to start with and a wasted dialogues by Sunny Leone. It seems that she would be a turn off after viewing the movie! Randeep's character is pivotal but still is regarded as a wasted talent for the actor of his caliber. 

Jism 2 wanted to portray Sunny Leone as the rebel to the modern society, the story of a porn star who tries to break her bounds and stand out for herself, the story written by Mahesh Bhatt had the power in it but somewhere around the lines it looses in big margin. 

"If you look for the blemishes on the moon, you will only see the blemishes. We have made an erotic film, an adult film. The Censor Board has eliminated 50 per cent of the scenes. But our film is not dependent on that. It has a very powerful story," Bhatt, who has written the screenplay, said.

He was speaking to the comment of having more lusty scenes in the movie than it was required! He said the content of 'Jism 2' is more mature than 'Murder 2', a film Bhatt produced in 2011. "My world view, my thoughts have gone into etching Kabeer's (Randeep Hooda) character," he said. 'Jism 2' hit the theatres on August 3 and stars Arunoday Singh as an intelligence officer. It was directed by Pooja Bhatt.

But even in midst of this critics claim that the movie which was to be an erotica became an erratic one with a weaker screenplay. Glamsham wrote "Till the end, you are wondering what the story is. It goes like this. Izna (Sunny Leone making her debut) is a prostitute. She is asked to help the Intelligence Bureau to kill one of their own officers, Randeep Hooda, who has gone on a killing spree within his department. The reason she has been selected is because at one point in time, she was his lover. I'm not even getting into the screenplay of that episode, of how they meet and how they mate! It's hilarious. "

The movie also narrates the personal vendetta of Izna with Kabeer and how she takes revenge on him for leaving her out in mid of the world or may be prostitution! But again this could have been better with a stronger actress - but Sunny is said to be a doll who is prompted for every dialogue and talks in with no such word as emotion on her face!

So the huge boom has been a let down - although the erotica still drives in youth but just to watch the body show by Sunny Leone!

"Film's central character is a girl who is living on an image created by marketing her anatomy. This woman had to be a part of the porn industry. We were very clear from the very beginning that our protagonist would proudly proclaim - 'I am a porn star'. This was going to be her story and we couldn't compromise on the basic setting. It had to be Sunny," Bhatt said.

"By roping in a regular Bollywood leading lady, we would have had to restrict ourselves to just two-three erotic scenes in order to please audience. That would have been unfair to the subject," he said.

But it seems that just erotica is not the essence of a successful movie and it has been said and said again by the audience. We will see how the weekend responses proceed!
