On Sunday 29th July, members of political party said to be MNS activists attacked Rohan Sippy’s film set. They tried to damage John Abraham’s vanity van and Ayushman Khurana’s BMW.

The incident occurred at Garden Foods and Wafers factory in Borivali suburbs. An argument between a watchman of the factory and Ravindra More, a driver of MNS MLA Pravin Darekar took place when the watchman stopped More from entering a private road which runs through the factory where Rohan Sippy's crew were present for a movie shoot picturising on Khurana.

The lane is many times used as a shortcut by people and More wanted to do the same. Since there was a film shoot going on during that time of the day the watchmen restricted More from entering the lane.
Furious by such behavior Ravindra More left and returned back with a pack of 10- 15 MNS activists with him. According to the reports the activists smashed almost 20 vehicles.

“The group saw the movie set in the premises and destroyed it. It was Sippy's set. The group also damaged many vehicles parked there. Two persons have sustained injuries in the incident and are currently undergoing treatment at Bhagwati Hospital," said the cops

Soon after the ruckus took place, the police took control of the region and started patrolling.

"We have formed seven teams to trace the people involved in the Sunday afternoon incident. Already, we have detained several people for questioning in the case, “quoted the Commissioner of police, North region, Sunil Paraskar.

A complaint of rioting and causing damage to property has been registered at Kasturba Marg police station and the extent of the damage is being evaluated.

Meanwhile, reports say that people belonging to film fraternity are planning to meet Maharashtra’s chief minister Prithviraj Chavan to discuss about the repeated attacks on the industry sets by political parties.
