Fiat Linea Classic Will Launch Tomorrow

In :

Fiat India have officially announced that the company would roll out the new Fiat Linea Classic in the Indian market at an event that is slated to get underway tomorrow at the Fiat Caffe in New Delhi. The Linea Classic, which is basically a cut price variant of the regular

Linea is expected to be priced around Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 less than the regular Linea and is the first of the nine new products, which Fiat has planned for the next three years.

A cut price variant, invariably results into loss of features and so the Linea Classic will be devoid of certain features such as the 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome garnish, steering mounted controls and climate control. The Italian automaker is also likely to detune Linea diesel's engine to give out 75 PS instead of 90 PS of max power.

Fiat Linea Classis will be positioned between the Punto and the regular Linea in India and will compete with the likes of Ford Fiesta Classic, Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Toyota Etios, etc.

Furthermore, Fiat India is preparing a Linea Facelift, which was recently caught on test and is expected to debut at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Fiat Linea Classic will continue to be sold alongside the said Linea Facelift model.
