Ekta Holdup by Customs!

The famous Balaji films owner and one of the leading producers of Bollywood was detained at the Mumbai Airport on her return from Bangkok for duty evasion. Ekta was returning back home when she was questioned by the officials on the details of duty she had paid. It was reported that she was carrying around 10lakh worth baggages and had paid duty only for 8lakh rupees.

The reports mention that she had to pay 30000 rupees to get her additional goods worth 2 Lakh rupees. She was later let off by the customs officials. Customs officials have confirmed this news and mentioned that they had found few personal baggages for which she hadn't paid the duty for.

Ekta is not let alone in this breed, as we have Shahrukh Khan, Bipasha Basu, Anushka Sharma, Minissha Lamba etc detained by the Mumbai Customs recently. All were found to be carrying excess luggage and was let go after the fine was paid.
