Bollywood is my Life - Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat who has been flying back and forth to America, still says that Bollywood is her bread and butter and is always her life. It has been her international projects that made her shift her place to the US, since then she has been residing there and it has been close to two years since the actress made America her home. 

"I am more of a global actress now but Bollywood is my life. It is my bread and butter," said Mallika here at a press conference to announce her performance at Hotel Tulip Star's New Year's Eve show. She has done her Hollywood flick 'Politics of Love' which had gained much publicity to her in Hollywood. She has also had the opportunity to work with Jackie Chan, in the movie 'The Myth' where she played the role of Indian princess.

Mallika feels that the west is more curious about the Indian Actors and bollywood as a whole. "I have signed 'Lucky Unlucky'. I am playing a Jat sprinter in it and I have signed another movie with Vivek Oberoi, 'Kismat Love Paisa Delhi'. It will be directed by Sanjay Khanduri. Then, there is an international venture that I'm doing."

"I'm trying to maintain a balance between both America and India. Right now there is so much curiosity in America about Bollywood and Indian actors," said Mallika, who is in here to shoot for Khanduri's film.

Although she has been away, she has still stirred the bollywood screens with her "thumke's" in item numbers like "Jalebi Bai", "Razia" and "Shalu ke thumke".

Mallika debuted in Bollywood with a special appearance in "Jeena Sirf Mere Liye" and then signed "Khwahish", her first film as a lead actress. Then she featured in "Pyaar Ke Side Effects" and "Welcome".
