Resul Pookutty : Clarifies, his quote manipulated!

In an interview given to a leading newspaper,Hindustan Times, Pookutty was quoted as saying, "Satyamev Jayate was a completely doctored show. A lot of sound post-production work was done on the show. It was treated just like a film. Like how you sound (mixing) is handled in a film so that you can sort of emotionally blackmail audiences. That's what was done with SMJ." 

This had created much of a stir to the otherwise, a historic show on Indian television. This was not the first of criticism that the show had received, but ofcourse, this was the strongest of them as it was the sound engineer of the show himself claiming that the show was manipulated.

Aamir Khan was however not available for a comment after multiple tries by various news agencies. The latest comment was posted on the occasion of launch to Tim Sebastian show - The Outsider With Tim Sebastian. However, Pookutty wasn't sure how his quote got manipulated and shown on air, so he immediately posted the tweet clarifying himself.

"Misinterpretation and a doctored story quoting me on #satyamevjayate in todays HT. Sad journalism. Spoke on Tim Sebastian shw, dis came out!" tweets Resul.

Resul is also associated with the The Outsider, and he in a recent interaction with TOI says, "Our show bears no resemblance to Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate'. In fact I was grossly misinterpreted in an interview where I was quoted as saying that Aamir's show was doctored. Who am I to question Aamir's show? I've the highest regard for what Aamir does." 

"I'm sorry to have been a reason to cause hurt to @aamir_khan. I never intent to.what smj has done is what our govt couldn't do in 65y. " says Resul through a tweet later. 

Resul also had to call in Aamir to explain the situation for what he feels is a poor way to bring in subscriptions. However the damage was already done and the news was celebrated throughout the media. 

About the new show he says "We're doing our job on Tim Sebastian's show.There's no point of comparison with this show and any other.I'm totally impressed by Tim. Before shooting each episode he personally meets each of the 54 crew members. When he came to India he had a dvd of 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'.Coincidentally I was involved with that. Tim didn't know that," says Resul fondly.

Tim Sebastian is one of the renowned journalist of BBC and his Indian show 'The Outsider With Tim Sebastian' takes off on a new channel UTV's Bloomberg on Saturday.
