Introducing the Tata Nano Twist, reviewed by Autocar. Tata Nano has kept its evolution on from the most affordable city car and has been adding on the features each year. Mid of 2013 saw the slight design changes to the compact car and this time around with a new tag 'Twist' the car will come with a power steering.
The complaints on most of the forums by tata nano owners has been the unresponsive steering, there has been complaints that the steering makes the drive less confident. It seems that Tat has heard from the people and has added in the feature. Tata Nano Twist will be available in a top end model for now, and is named Tata Nano Twist XT. Although there are rumors that Tata will be launching a less premium version sooner.
So no other changes except for the new instrument panel, which now had MID and shows the fuel consumption, live mileage and the distance to empty. These features seems to lift up the car a bit from the predecessors.
The car comes at a price of 2.36 lakhs ex showroom Delhi, which is just about 13000 more than the top end variant of old Nano. As Autocar mentions, the new steering is bit bigger in size and is smooth electric steering in place which has kept the engine efficiency at 25kmpl.
So three cheers for Tata Nano Twist and finally making it out with a power steering. Impressive.
