Its been a while since Mallika Sherawat has been trying her luck in Hollywood. It is said that she was to attend the Oscar awards (84th Academy Awards) this year but her busy schedule kept her from attending the same.
Designer Ashley Rebello who is also very close friend of Mallika had even designed something for her to wear on the red carpet. Though she has made an appearance at the awards in 2011, this time around her plan was to meet studio executives and lobby for interesting work as nothing much happened on the film front after the debacle of her debut Hollywood film Politics Of Love.
Mallika couldn't attend the Oscar night because she flew down to India. What was the reason behind her staying away from the most glitzy award function of the year ? 'WORK COMMITMENTS'. She came all the way from Los Angeles on Monday morning to shoot an item song titled Laila Laila for Priyadarshan's Tezz. (So one thing is for sure, the producer has won over the argument which took place a few weeks back between the producer & director of Tezz and now what we need to know is that is Sameera Reddy also a part of the song?)
This time Oscars was devoid of all the beautiful faces from Bollywood who so far had been a regular affair. AR Rahman and Anil Ambani, were present at the Oscars at the famous Kodak theatre.
