Helen to be seen in Heroine

Buzz is that actress Helen will now play a key role in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming movie Heroine.

A source said that, "Helen plays a very interesting role and is shown as someone who was a top league heroine of her heydays. The actress will be seen playing a veteran who has words of wisdom to share with Kareena in the film. She has five scenes which are crucial part of the plot." 

The source added, "She has watched films made by Madhur Bhandarkar and loved the heroine oriented themes that he has come up with. In fact Helen has liked films like Chandni Bar, Corporate, Fashion to name a few. 

She is happy to be a part of Heroine and is looking forward to be directed by a talented director like Madhur Bhandarkar."

Madhur Bhandarkar confirmed the news bu saying, "I was surprised when she said that she liked my films. I am glad that she has agreed to be a part of my ambitious venture."

Helen was last seen in the movie Jodi Breakers. She is often cited as the most popular dancer of the item number in her time.

Heroine is an upcoming film co - written and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. The film revolves around the life of a once successful film actress Mahi Arora, whose career is on the decline. Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Ramphal play the lead roles in the movie. Kareena Kapoor has been cast to play the lead role of Mahi Arora. The film is slated to release on 14 September 2012.
