Samsung Galaxy Camera - GC100 - Review

In :

The camera that truly mesmerizes with technology and the intelligence with which the data is used. We knew what Android could do and we had seen what it could do to photos when Samsung Galaxy S2/S3 came into the market. But it is shear intelligence of the Samsung technicians to put out a camera that does it all!

Gone are the days when you will want to take pics come in tired and then transfer it over to the computer and later share it with your friends, the camera does help you take pics and uploaded then and there! That is technology at its best if you ask us.

Samsung GC100 has Android 4.1 Jelly bean powering its engine. The camera is not just any other, it has a 1.4Ghz Quad Core processor to it which is the reason why you will see the fluidity in menu style, touch responses and shooting. The camera shares its features with the latest Samsung Galaxy s3, with a 1G RAM and a Mali-400MP processor. So that is about the muscle.

Coming back to the camera options, you have a wonderful lens that covers whole of the front of the camera, the very prominent and high quality lens. The zoom range is marked as 21x starting from 23mm to 481mm.(35mm film equivalent)

What We Like:
  • Build
  • Touch Screen
  • Voice Commands
  • 21x Zoom
  • Sim Slot

What We Hate:
  • Picture Quality could have been better
  • Bulky than usual PS cams
  • Pricy than avg. compact
The camera has a 1/2.3" sensor with 16.3MP resolution which should give you a quite high quality images when compared to an average point and shoot camera. Even better is the F values, when compared to other point and shoot cameras, the current one goes from 2.8(W) to 5.9(T) so that is quite impressive and you should be able to get some cool effects without even going to photoshop. The ISO ranges from 100 to 3200 which should give in a decent shots at low light.

The menus and build of the camera are quite good and I am sure you wont be lost in finding the settings. This also comes accompanied by voice command activation and that means you can set the camera on and same 'Cheese' and it takes the pics, there are quite a lot of useful commands and it does help for your family functions.

Fun part of all, it just fits into your pocket - not the skinny jeans ofcourse, but otherwise its a fun carry around, and you wont need any additional accessories as the phone itself comes with a 8G internal memory and also a sim slot, so all you will need to go out and plug in the sim, you can talk on phone, take pics and walk around in style!

Here are few of our finds of best prices, so please do check them out.
