Gold all the way. The trend of golden color continues over to the smartphone industry as well. The latest iphone and Samsung Galaxy sales show up that the golden color is regarded more sacredly among smartphone enthusiasts across India.
The latest story broke out when the golden version of iphone was sold 10000 to 15000 rupees more than the regular iphone 5S. Again, combined with the diwali opening, the sales was all time high for the golden color.Both iphone and Samsung galaxy did make the best of the golden avtars during the diwali sales where people were ready to give full money in advance - almost 75000 was reported to be spent over 200 pieces in Delhi alone which shows the impact of this premium color.

The Samsung Galaxy had stepped one more ahead when it introduced the costliest smartphone in India and the company claims that it has already sold beyond expectations. Among chocolates, Nestle's Alpino and Ferrero Rocher have sizzled retail shelves during the festive season gifting, both drawing the consumer's eye with their gilded packaging.
"Gold has huge appeal amongst Indian consumers since it's a fantastic premium stand-out colour," says Samsung India country head (mobile and digital imaging) Vineet Taneja. "This also means the product needs to be niche or super-premium," he says.
