The leggy lass Deepika Padukone has been named brand ambassador by Luxor for its pen brand Pilot, a known brand from writing instruments company Luxor.

Deepika has signed a two-year contract with Luxor Writing Instruments and she will even be seen in a multimedia campaign for it. Luxor Writing Instruments is the leader in Indian writing instruments industry.

Pooja Jain, Executive Director of Luxor Group, said, "Deepika rightly represents the youth who is passionate and seek excellence in their endeavors. Our association with her is the right fit with many common factors between Pilot and Deepika which appeal to the youth instantly.  Luxor range of writing instruments is exported to 110 countries worldwide thus we also wanted a face that would be internationally recognised. I am sure this alliance will emphasise the positioning of Pilot series as a choice of young achievers.”

She added that, "Deepika comes across as a go-getter who has made it on her own, is confident of her choices and works hard to achieve what she desires from life."

The ad campaign for Pilot will be created by filmmaker R. Balakrishnan`s Lowe Lintas.

Balakrishnan a.k.a R. Balki said that, "Deepika is a confident person and represents the youth which is aware and determined. The ad campaign for Pilot will keep this synchronicity in mind and will have a young feel."
