Salman to play Lord Hanuman

Buzz is that superstar Salman Khan has been approached to play the role of Lord Hanuman in the modern day of the epic Ramayana.

The flick which will be made by a Hollywood producer will see all the epic characters being reborn in 2012-13 in New York. A sources said that, "The filmmaker was very keen to cast none but Salman as Hanuman." 

Hollywood actors Keanu Reeves and Gary Oldman have been roped in to play the role of Ram and Raavana. A source close to the project revealed that the role had initially been offered to Aamir Khan and he had even shown interest in playing the role of Hanuman but somehow, things did not work out.

Salman playing the role of mythological character Hanuman will be the most dramatic role he would have ever portrayed.

The movie is being made by Uru Patel, a Hollywood producer of Indian origin. A source said that, “Uru wants to turn that dream into reality. Salman has shown interest. Things are being worked out but it`s not going to be easy putting the film together. The cost is going to be astronomical as well.”

Salman Khan will be seen playing the role of a super hero with magical looks in his forthcoming film Sher Khan.
