Ranbir Kapoor has proved it over his acting in 'Rockstar' and he is doing it again here in Barfi, the mute-deaf guy. The story narration and the acting talents have just made the audience and critics move with the groove. Anurag Basu has proved it once again that he is able to touch the hearts of his audience in the best of way possible.  The movie which is marked as no way to the conventional Bollywood cinema, still steals the heart of audience and starts the celebration of life along with Barfi.

Ranbir plays the character 'Murphy' who is deaf and mute and calls himself  'Barfi' as he can't say 'Murphy'. The fun ride starts, without the main character saying a word on screen. This is surely one of the most outstanding performances of recent times and we are not going to ignore the talents of Priyanka Chopra, who plays Jhilmil a physically and mentally challenged person and Ileana D'Cruz, who plays a new town girl. The movie doesn't revolve around the disabilities or exploit the short comings of the actors physical or mental state, watching the movie just makes you ignore the fact that the shortcomings of being mute/deaf/physically challenged doesn't hinder in the celebration of life. Not just the memorable protagonists, even the smaller players specially Roopa Ganguly and Akaash Khuruna and Haradhan Bandhopadhyay, leave a lingering impact.

Ranbir's performance is said to be the prime key and is said to overshadow most of other protagonists, but it would be truly unfair to give the full credits to Ranbir as there has been lot of talent shown by Priyanka who had been criticized for overacting in Agneepath. The debutant Ileana also does a smart job, she plays the character of Shruti who comes to the town to be with her parents. She is attracted to Barfi for the joyous ways in which he leads his life, and Ileana plays the role of a confused girl who finds all the good part of 'Barfi' and misses these qualities in her fiancee. The romance between Ileana and Ranbir is a joy of the movie that we think Anurag has done splendidly.

Anurag Basu, known for his non linear film making has done it once again and made the audience woo to the acts of 'Barfi'. The romantic comedy side also adds to the spice of the movie and the film maker is receiving a warm set of appreciations for his effort with the movie.

As IANS report "Barfi! celebrates life without dismissing the dark passages and roadblocks that we often encounter as we travel through that craggy road to death." That is what the movie leaves in your heart when you leave the theaters. A must must and must watch movie.

Rakesh Sippy of Raksha Entertainment Pvt Ltd told IANS that Barfi! has "opened pretty well in multiplexes and in other cities". "In fact, the film had around 90 to 100 percent occupancy for the morning shows. It is doing exceptionally well. The film will pick up by word of mouth," he added.

The movie is still running high and is hitting the right tone on box office, however the weekend results will confirm how things went on.
