The boxing phenomenon Mary Kom will now come to the silver screen as Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to create his next movie based on the life of Mary Kom which is none less than a Bollywood movie. Mary Kom, the mother of two  kids had to struggle hard to reach at the position that she is currently at. The athelete did win bronze medal in the London Olympics 2012.

The art director of 'Black' and 'Saawariya', Omung Kumar had planned this movie a year earlier. For this project Omung had met Mary Kom a year earlier, for her consent on doing the movie and after receiving the nod, Omung did write in the story for the boxer who made India's name shine through the Olympics.

Omung has got the script ready, and has also got it okayed by Sanjay. Sanjay is planning on meeting Mary Kom on August 23.

Sanjay confirmed this news, saying, "Omung brought the script to me a month before the Olympics. Mary Kom has made India proud. I was moved by her story. She is a mother of two, has been through so much struggle, has tremendous spirit and a sense of living and dignity and is now a World Champion. She has what it takes to make a great champion. An Indian woman boxer is rare. It will be an exciting film to produce and I am very happy to do it."

The movie will be a directorial debut for Omung Kumar, and the casting is not yet finalized. The makers will be looking at a person who looks alike Mary Kom and who also does have the aura of a champion. As Mary Kom doesn't speak English that well, the directors really need an actor who can speak their heart like Mary.
