John to donate sperms for altruistic reasons only

Few days back there were reports that after the promotion of Vicky Donar a woman who has been childless for few years now had planned for an artificial insemination and asked for John's sperm. And its not just that woman, John has been flooded with requests for sperm donation by his female fans. 

John said that, "It's shocking! I don't know whether to take that as a compliment or be devastated!" says he. Is there a special someone he'd donate his sperm to? Very matter-of-factly comes the reply, "For one, a donor's identity is kept secret. And if I had to donate sperm, I'd do it for altruistic reasons."

He added, "If you see any kid that looks like me, you'll know the woman I've donated my sperm to!"

Vicky Donor deals with the concept of sperm donation and infertility. When John was questioned about the risky subject matter, he said, "Basically, Vicky Donor is a romantic comedy between a Punjabi boy and a Bengali girl. But the concept is set against the background of sperm donation." John hoped that the film could shed light on a serious issue still considered "taboo" in Indian society. Shoojit Sircar said, "I want to take a light-hearted look at the taboo attached to infertility and artificial insemination." Before filming began, Sircar researched upon the plot themes for three years.

Vicky Donor is a Bollywood romantic comedy film directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by actor John Abraham. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor in the lead roles. It released on April 20, 2012. The movie has received positive response, however it had a slow opening at the box office.
