Sherlyn Chopra : The Bollywood Goddess or Legend?

Don't raise brows, we know that Sherlyn Chopra can in no way be associated with Bollywood. The actress - if one could say so - hasn't been recognized in main screen, apart from the B-grade movies she has done, there is nothing to her bag that will hold her the tag of being from the Bollywood fraternity, but for some reason, Playboy recognizes her as one of the actresses from Indian Cinema (Pity!).

The website says "After surprising the world through her tweets about being the first Indian woman to appear in the pages of Playboy magazine, the name Sherlyn Chopra has been on the lips of millions. Born on February 11th, 1984, Sherlyn was raised by her Muslim mother and Christian father, who was a doctor until the age of 55."

"With a younger sister who is a disc jockey in Hyderabad, India and a brother who lives in Auckland, New Zealand working as a computer software engineer, Sherlyn has craved the spotlight since a young age. Since winning a beauty pageant at the age of 17, she’s moved to the city of Bollywood, Mumbai, to appear in numerous Bollywood films," the website further adds. - Numerous Bollywood Films! Kill us please, we dont wish to live with that Bollywood tag on our website! :lol:

The actress on the other side believes that she has done a much bigger favor to the Nation by posing nude! (another interesting news on her) "I stood out in the crowd of beauties at the mansion because of my black hair, brown skin and my articulate speech." And was Hugh Hefner flirtatious and fun? "Hugh is the most dignified man I've ever met! And yes, he's super cool and has a great zest for life". But that's not all. "We all had crazy fun with the playmates on the US Independence day".

She also says that this isn't a forbidden castle as she says that any model or actress who are confident enough can be a playboy model (Seriously! if it was that simple, we would have seen many!)  "Any model who can project unadulterated erotica with great ease and super confidence can make it to the inside pages of Playboy. The decision to feature the model on the cover is entirely taken by Mr.Hefner". adds in Sherlyn. 

There were allegations that Sherlyn had to sleep with Hefner to get to the shoots and it is an urban legend that every model that gets showcased in playboy does have to do so, but Sherlyn has been an exception there too! "I did not sleep with Mr Hefner. No one at the (Playboy) mansion has till date made an indecent proposal to me. I love my naked skin. Felt quite comfortable displaying my nakedness … that is all,” says Chopra.

The Sherlyn cover will hit stands in December. “It is the first time that the magazine has executed as many as 15 concepts for a model. When people see me, they will go wow,” she says, undeterred by the backlash. “People back there could not believe that an Indian could do this!”

She had bagged this opportunity, if one could say so, by a series of emails with Mr. Hefner and discussions online. "While most girls are first called for a test shoot, I should thank him for having faith in me by providing me the opportunity without an audition." says Sherlyn who is said to have done a mock shoot in Mumbai, prior to her actual playboy shoot.

We are still wondering if going nude was so prestigious a thing!
